Parquet floor, electrical sockets on metal rods
392 x 543,5 x 24 cm
A hardwood floor, almost the size and shape of that of the exhibition space, is laid out on the ground. Wooden skirting runs around the perimeter of the parquet floor. Above the floor, 5 electrical sockets are suspended on rigid metal rods. The installation creates the impression that a parquet floor and small mundane pieces of interior has been taken out of another room in its entirety, reinstalled in this new context. Exhibition visitors are explicitly invited to step onto the floor, entering the artwork and with it, a space within a space.
