Introduction
The Cheongju Museum of Art holds a special exhibition entitled Architecture Becomes Art, where architecture and art, which are mutually influenced by each other, meet. Through this exhibition, you can meet works of art that provide new perspectives and experiences by fusing the artistic elements of the two fields beyond the boundaries of architecture and art.
Architecture and art have a close relationship through a long history and produce works using various materials and techniques. Artists expand the range of expression of art and architecture through a series of processes incorporating architectural forms, spatial composition, and materials into their works. Architecture is closely related to human life and communicates with various fields such as science, humanities, and engineering, and sometimes becomes a work of art. We pay attention to the characteristics of the point of contact due to mutual exchanges occurring in the field of modern architecture and art, and we can get a glimpse of the phenomena that increase the synergistic effect with different interpretations through the connection with art.
The works created by the privatization of space by 15 architects and formative artists show a cross-section of the scalability of contemporary art. A collection of various experiences makes people immerse themselves in psychological reactions and actions through the relationship between humans and places, allowing them to feel the mystery. By constructing an exhibition hall using architectural elements and arranging it harmoniously with art works, it provides visual enjoyment and calm impression to the audience.
Today's architecture is evolving into a space of convergence by integrating structure, space, materials, and environment to form a new frame. Fluid visual images of light and color in the museum space awaken the latent senses of the audience and lead them into an unknown world.
