We are delighted to announce Hyunsun Jeon's participation at Art Basel Unlimited 2025.

Presented will be Into the Woods to Lose Our Way, 2025. Thirty paintings bearing Hyunsun Jeon's distinct iconography, combining figurative elements, such as trees, fruits, and objects from everyday life, with abstract forms, color planes and sets of classic geometric shapes, have become one giant structure, a semicircular shape similar to a halfpipe scateboard ramp. Jeon’s project has an all-encompassing, even world-building quality: quoting different styles as motifs, a work might simultaneously include painterly passages, pointillist sections or simulated brushstrokes, and motifs that have the linear quality of digital renderings or pixelation.

Suspended above the construction of semi-circular ramp is a giant staff made from covered Styrofoam which is also partially painted. Bearing small schematically drawn faces at each end, the object appears similar to a needle, pointing at different sections of the paintings.
