Executed in oil on wood, this intimately-scaled work depicts slices of watermelon wrapped in plastic film and arranged across a wooden surface. Their red flesh and dark seeds are set against green rinds, and a small handwritten price sign stands among them. At the center of the composition, a face appears between two of the slices, partially hidden by the fruit.
