Norbert Bisky Stadtwald, 2026
71,5 x 57,5 x 3 cm (framed)
Executed in oil on paper, Norbert Bisky's works present vivid figurative scenes that combine nude or semi-nude bodies with staged urban or architectural settings. The figures appear mid-motion or at a standstill — glistening and seemingly carefree, yet often fragmented and adrift. This sense of being untethered serves as a formal expression of an existential condition. The pictorial space is constructed from expanses of color and sharper graphic elements. Luminous yellows, warm oranges and pinks sit alongside blues, greens and darker tones, producing a high-contrast surface where edges are either softened or sharply defined.
