Rafa Silvares OVO, 2026
OVO is a large-format painting on linen, created using a combination of oil, acrylic, and molding paste. The composition brings together undulating, biomorphic color fields in blue, yellow, red, and green, recalling the formal vocabulary of mid-twentieth-century abstraction — particularly the shaped color fields of Brazilian Concretism and Neoconcretism. Against these forms, a corrugated metallic duct is depicted with trompe-l'œil precision, its chrome surface rendered with carefully observed highlights and reflections.
