The Crime We Need is a sculpture in patinated bronze in which textured, calligraphic forms rise and turn from a base, set against a single rounded sphere. Each bronze is finished with a unique patina, so that no two casts share the same surface and coloration. The title relates to Camille Henrot's longstanding interest in the systems of order that govern behavior and what becomes possible when these systems are disrupted.
