preemptive particles 1/1/6, pairs a vintage game board with two attached egg shells, one white, the other brown.

The configuration of the objects suggests an oblique message or system, a major theme in the artist's practice. Yet, such references are rarely made explicit and the significance of Kuri's constellation of disparate objects lies in signifying abstract processes, ways of thinking and organizing knowledge through formal relationships between the elements.

The use of egg shells in this work is an artistic nod of acknowledgement to the work of the famous conceptual Belgian artist Marcel Broodthaers (1924-1976) who in the 1960s produced several works employing (mostly broken) egg shells.
