Roman Ondak Pyramid, 2018
Corner sections of a wardrobe
55 x 53,7 x 27,3 cm
Constructed from cut corners of a found wooden wardrobe, Pyramid finds unexpected formal authority and beauty in the fragments of the repurposed furniture. The work holds in place a number of contradictory positions: as these are inside corners, the spectator is faced with an impossible perspective onto the former wardrobe; the private container of clothes is transformed into a powerful public symbol.
