As if enshrining the exuberance of painting, the handmade wooden frame cradles Thomias Radin's Et in speculo Arcadia like an altarpiece.

Split into multiple layers that rub against one another in unexpected ways, the representation resist any simplifying gaze. As in many of Radin’s works, parts of the canvas are drawn into gestural brushstrokes, executed in singular, quick movements. Vermillion strokes and lawn green bursts of color break through a tranquil scene depicting an open pavilion.
