Saâdane Afif’s Vingt mille millimètres d’infinis possibles (2018 – 2026). Ten ungraduated measuring sticks, each two meters in length, are installed across walls painted in vibrant dandelion yellow, their combined length totaling 20,000 millimeters.
Retaining traces of their industrial origins, these objects are transformed through reduction into open visual symbols. In this recontextualization, they generate lines, angles, and spatial structures that exist at the intersection of sign systems, architectural drawing, and poetry.
