Thomias Radin Arcadia, 2026
As in many of Radin’s works, there are parts of the canvas that are unprimed and unpainted. These blanks cut across the collage-like scene depicting an open pavilion whose surreal architecture features a checkered marble floor, pillars, and arches framing the sea and a low horizon. At the center of the painting, a lone figure arches backward, arms reaching skyward – abruptly dissolving into bursts of color.
