Sty/eGames is a long-term information game. The playing field is the unstable world of visual culture. Game pieces are found information, partly associatively related to each other, partly not yet set.

Sty/eGames shows situations of a search for the new. This search creates dynamics. In advertising, in fashion, in design, in music, in film, in the trend world, in the real world and in art.

The previous work of Roth/Stauffenberg (e.g. Happier Days Film Fotoarchiv / lnternet site) is a latent commentary on ritual photography and film. In this context they are interested in both the effect of advertising and fashion as media communication.

Recurring and thus recognizable gestures are publicly performed rituals. Even the 'unusual' or the persiflage presupposes knowledge of the ritual.

Sty/eGames No.1-3 Remix

October 3rd. House of World Cultures as part of the Congress 3000 and the Berlin Biennale. Fashion, football, Love Parade and politics are remixed. A subtotal.

Walk-in closets, film and television lights and a mixed game board in the form of large bubblejet strips. The location is the foyer in front of the cloakroom and/or the staircase to the auditorium of the House of World Cultures. A symposium on music will take place in the auditorium on 3rd October on the occasion of Congress 3000.

The game is in progress, it is developing. The rules are not yet fixed. The situations presented serve as a test. Sty/eGames is a prototype. A playful dialogue with industry and economy aimed at, sponsors are involved. The gallery Schipper & Krome takes on the role of promotion platform. After the six events a variable game system develops: Sty/eGames. Methods and systems similar to software that can be applied to different areas.

Kick & Rush. Art on the superstructure. For example, the dynamic portrait of a logo should be traced. An investigation of the Pl,anomens "1 O after 1 O" is planned. Why are almost all clock hands on "1 O to 1 O" in advertisements and commercials and then suddenly one on "20 to 4"?

A publication will make the game system widely accessible.
