Introduction

For his first solo exhibition in China, Tomás Saraceno brings together a compendium of works from across his practice. Designed especially for the galleries of Fosun Foundation, the exhibition performs as a model for a new, alternative form of living, one that attunes to the natural rhythms of the Earth’s cycle and the more-than-human species with which we share the planet.

The exhibition Aerographies pays particular attention to the airborne, inviting the viewer to perform microscopic to cosmic leaps of the imagination, relying on the notion there is much to learn from the ocean of air, at the bottom of which we reside.
