Simon Fujiwara's Who is the Great Goat of the Night?, is from his series recreating iconic works by famous, historically significant artists through the perspective of his original cartoon figure Who the Bær.

This large-scale work, executed in acrylic, pastel, and charcoal on canvas, recreates the composition of Francisco de Goya’s 1798 work, entitled the Witches’ Sabbath. Set against a vivid moonlit landscape, the work depicts a goat with large horns and brown fur, commonly interpreted as a representation of the deity Baphomet, surrounded by a group of cartoonified figures with long pink tongues holding smartphones. An impression of movement emanates from the scene, with the numerous swirls, smudges and brightly colored areas weaving the figures together into one dynamic – almost chaotic – movement.
