Print on transfer paper to be stick on the wall, architectural intervention, successive exhibitions layer
ø ca. 23 cm (unframed)
38,5 x 38,5 x 4 cm (framed)
The work is a transfer foil that shows a circular area with differently colored concentric circles. The starting point of this work was an architectural intervention on the occasion of Pierre Huyghe's solo exhibition at Kunstverein München and Secession in Vienna. He sanded down an area, about 20 cm in diameter, to reveal successive layers of paint that had been applied during previous exhibitions. The foil is to be stuck directly on a wall thus fusing the current location with a representation of of a different place and time: April 28, 1999 at the Vienna Secession.
