In a Calder-esque fashion, Tuan Andrew Nguyen's mobiles and stabiles balance elegantly and charmingly, their reflective pendants catching the surrounding light. The work comprises two parts: an upright artillery shell mounted on a small concrete plinth, from which a delicate structure extends in slender brass arcs and reflective discs. The bomb casing anchors the work in its material history, while the suspended forms above appear almost weightless—a fragile constellation of brass discs and wires that shifts with every breath of air.
